Access Digital Media Inc. Adds New HD Conversion Technology
Saint John, New Brunswick, December, 2014 – Access Digital Media (ADM) is pleased to announce the addition of new technology to enhance their digital video encoding service delivery capabilities.
“Increasingly, our broadcast clients around the world are moving to all-digital file delivery, as opposed to video tapes.” says ADM’s President Greg Abrams. “This latest upgrade allows us to convert from one international broadcast standard to another, and also lets us upscale video from Standard Definition to High Definition.”
In recent years, the international broadcast market has rapidly moved to HD-only content delivery. This has resulted in a situation where TV producers and distributors have huge amounts of “legacy” programming, with continually shrinking markets that will accept it for broadcast.
“This is the reality of the current market” says Abrams, “there is a finite amount of newly produced HD programming, but a wealth of high quality SD content. We are now in a position to provide a solution for producers and distributors and allow them to give new commercial potential to the non-HD programs in their libraries”.
